At the time I created this print, I was working as the in-house designer for True Chesapeake Oyster Co. and was given the task of designing a Hawaiian shirt. The final ended up very different from this, but the rejected first drafts spun off into a personal project in my own signature palette and some added tropical imagery. Pictured below is the original oyster farm dog, Honey, and myself in our matching getups.
